Beyond Getting Started: Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act

This presentation will expand basic knowledge and awareness of the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for occupational health professionals. Attendees will receive practical advice to use in everyday practice and management of ADAAA and FMLA policy management. Examples of case management issues will be provided to enhance day-to-day management issues in the workplace.
 
Objectives:
  • Identify components of ADAAA and FMLA laws.
  • Identify steps in the ADAAA interactive process.
  • Define FMLA leave types.
  • Name covered FMLA health conditions.
